Venue and Accommodation
Wellington College is one of England’s oldest and finest private boarding schools. The college stands in 400 acres of private estate consisting of woodland, lakes, immaculate playing fields and fine gardens. The grounds provide us with a stunning and safe environment with an endless choice of running tracks and trails during our camps.
The main school buildings and boarding houses enjoy fine settings surrounded by this glorious estate. Our accommodation is in the Beresford and Talbot private boarding houses. These new and modern houses have some of the best accommodation in the College and are set away from the hustle and bustle of the main school, overlooking the lake. Each house has an elegant oak-panelled dining room, in which we take all our meals, and other facilities in the houses include a large common room with TV, pool and table football. Outside the building there is a floodlit play area. Each house has its own kitchen which is stocked daily with tea, squash, coffee and snacks.
The college is situated on the edge of Crowthorne village which is not far from Bracknell in Berkshire. If travelling by car there is good access from the M25, M3 and M4 motorways.
Crowthorne train station is within an easy, short walk of Wellington College and in fact is less than 15 minutes away from Reading, which enjoys superb rail links to London. Trains from Crowthorne to Reading are approximately every hour. Full travel details will be provided within the pre-camp information, however if you want to find out more details about the College and its location then click here and you’ll be taken to the Wellington College website.
